Competition Fees Overview

Competition fees cover the cost of athlete registration, event participation, administrative processing, and team-related expenses required for each event throughout the season.

  • Monthly Tuition (August–May): $280/month
    (Tuition includes all competition entry fees for the season.)

  • Choreography Fee: $120 per season

  • Uniform Package: $550 per season

  • Annual Banquet Fee: $100 per athlete

  • Travel Fees (Unaccompanied Athletes):

    • Standard Trip Fee: $200/trip

    • Parent-provided spending money is recommended as outlined in event correspondence.

All competition fees and dues are structured to help families avoid large last-minute charges and to keep the season budget predictable.

One-Time Season Fees

    TRYOUT

    $40

    A non-refundable $40 tryout fee is required for all athletes participating in CWA Cheer evaluations. This fee covers administrative processing, staffing, and the athlete’s assessment session. Payment must be submitted at the time of registration to secure a tryout spot.

    Registration & Practice Set

    $200

    A non-refundable $100 season registration fee is required for all athletes and includes administrative setup, insurance, and program onboarding. An additional $100 practice set fee provides athletes with required practice apparel for the season.

    Choreography

    $120
    The $120 choreography fee covers custom routine creation, music counts, formations, transitions, and professional choreography sessions designed specifically for your athlete’s team.

    Uniform Package

    $550

    The $550 uniform package includes all required competition apparel for the season. This may include the competition uniform, bow, warm-up items, and accessories needed for team presentation at events.

    Banquet

    $100
    The $100 banquet fee covers the athlete’s celebration event, including awards, dinner, and two guest tickets. Additional guest tickets may be purchased separately.

Monthly Tuition

Tuition Costs: $280 per month
Billing Period: August 2026– May 2027

This monthly fee includes:

  • Weekly team practices

  • Competition entry fees

  • Music licensing and production

  • Routine clean-up sessions

  • Admin and event processing costs

  • Coach instructional cost

Our pricing model is designed to be predictable and transparent. The monthly tuition of $280 from August through May allows families to plan ahead with no surprise fees throughout the competitive season. All major season expenses are either included in monthly tuition or clearly listed as one-time fees.

We believe in clarity and open communication, so families always know exactly what to expect.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Option 1: Pay in Full

    • Amount Due: $550

    • Due Date: August 15, 2026

    • Families selecting this option will have no additional uniform payments for the 2026 season.

    Option 2: 3-Month Installment Plan

    This option divides the total into three monthly payments from August through October 2026.

    • August 15, 2026: $185

    • September 15, 2026: $185

    • October 15, 2026: $180

    Total payments equal $550.
    Autopay enrollment is required for all installment plans.

    Option 3: Extended Split Plan (50 / 25 / 25)

    A flexible plan with a larger first payment and two smaller follow-ups.

    • First Installment (August 15, 2026): $275

    • Second Installment (September 15, 2026): $137.50

    • Final Installment (October 15, 2026): $137.50

  • Staying current with competition-related payments is essential for athlete eligibility.

    • Late Fee: $50 applied to any overdue payment

    • Sit-Out Policy: Accounts 8 days past due will result in the athlete being placed on the Sit-Out List

    • Removal from Events: Athletes with outstanding competition balances may be removed from rosters or restricted from attending competitions and practices until payment is resolved

    • Payment Plan Grace Period: 3 days after a late fee to pay or set up an approved written arrangement

    • Cancellation for Nonpayment: Accounts 10 days past due without communication may result in removal from the program and a $500 cancellation fee

  • Some competitions require additional travel-related expenses. These will vary by event and may include:

    • Hotel accommodations

    • Transportation

    • Coaches’ travel fees

    • Meal stipends

    • Athlete spending money

    Detailed event itineraries, budgets, and packing lists will be provided in advance for each competition.

    Unaccompanied athletes will be required to participate in the CWA Travel Block and pay the Standard Trip Fee.

  • Competition fees are non-refundable under all circumstances, including:

    • Athlete withdrawal

    • Injury

    • Removal for nonpayment

    • Event cancellation or schedule change by the event producer or CWA.

    Credits may be considered within the same season only and at the sole discretion of CWA Management.

  • Families needing additional support or clarification may reach out to CWA Administration. We are committed to assisting families in understanding all billing requirements, payment timelines, and competition expectations.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Monthly tuition payments are due on the 1st or 15th of each month, depending on the payment date selected at registration. All families must maintain an active autopay method to remain in good standing.

  • No. All fees—including registration, tuition, uniforms, choreography, and special event fees—are non-refundable. In rare cases, a same-season credit may be granted at the discretion of CWA Management.

  • A $50 late fee is automatically added to any overdue payment. If the account becomes 8 days past due, the athlete is placed on the Sit-Out List and may not attend practices, competitions, classes, or events until the balance is paid in full.

  • Total Season Cost

    The total cost for the 2026–2027 CWA Cheer season is $3,810 per athlete.

    This includes:

    • Monthly tuition (August–May)

    • Tryout fee

    • Season registration and practice set

    • Choreography

    • Uniform package

    • Banquet fee

    Note: Personal travel expenses, spending money, cheer shoes, and additional banquet guest tickets are not included and are the responsibility of the family.

  • Yes. Uniform packages offer multiple payment plan options from August–October. Families may also request a written payment arrangement for tuition by contacting CWA Administration. All payment plans must be strictly followed.

  • Aside from tuition and registration fees, families may have travel-related expenses for competitions (hotel, transportation, meals). Unaccompanied athletes will also incur a $200 trip fee per event. Detailed cost expectations are provided before each competition.

  • Withdrawal at any time after registration triggers a $500 cancellation fee. If a family stops attending without communication (“ghosting”), all remaining fees and the cancellation charge become immediately due, and the athlete may not re-enroll until the account is paid in full.
